To keep gases in their cryogenic state, liquid cylinders work similarly to thermos bottles. Cryogenic temperatures can reach -400 degrees Fahrenheit (liquid phase). These specially designed cylinders can only keep their contents at a certain temperature for a certain amount of time. The liquid product will convert back to the gas as the temperature inside the cylinder rises above the threshold required to keep the gas a liquid.

Liquid cylinders are built to hold hundreds of pounds of liquid product. Considering this, they are far more durable than your typical thermos bottle. In the annular space, there is also transfer tubing for specific product demand delivery functions.
